The NY Coalition for Sustainability in Higher Education (NYCSHE) brings together representatives from higher education and supporting organizations who share a commitment to promoting, sustaining, and advocating for sustainability. This initiative focuses on the principles of environmental, economic, and social responsibility through educational efforts, community engagement, operational practices, and strategic planning.

The coalition’s goals include:

• To be a conduit for information about policies, practices and ideas to promote progress in sustainability with the goal of making them more affordable, available, uniform, consistent, and utilized in order to support sustainability needs and resilience in New York State. 
• To become an inclusive voice on promoting just, equitable and sustainable communities within New York State. 
• To coordinate related activities and advocacy with coalitions of similar purpose, on a local, regional and national level.
